Katha Dance Theatre (KDT) relies on your generosity to sustain its programming. Our mission is to inspire, captivate, and educate audiences about this beautiful dance tradition and its deeper cultural meaning. This is important work we could not do without your continued support! But why should you give today?
Like many non-profit organizations and small businesses, we have spent the past 21 months formulating a new approach to how we accomplish our work. Most notably, we began offering hybrid educational options this Fall to great success. In doing so, we have strengthened our community connections and stayed accessible in a time of great isolation.
Following health and safety guidelines provided by the CDC and Minnesota Department of Health, we were also recently able to premiere an exciting new in-person production at the Park Square Theatre: Shaamya – Of Equality. Using a mixture of multicultural dance, music by J.D. Steele and spoken word poetry by Ifrah Mansour, Equality demonstrated the importance of embracing diversity as part of a more equitable future.
Your financial support allows us to continue making innovative, genre-bending art like Equality that unifies and inspires across lines of culture, race, and gender. We hope you’ll consider making KDT part of your giving plan this holiday season!
Thank you so much for your generosity!
