  • 8 weeks June 10 - July 29, 2025
  • We invite you to Katha Dance Theatre’s Parent & Me dance class for our youngest dancers ages 3-5 and their caregivers! Explore how to tell stories creatively and in a fun way through games, through Indian dance movement, hand gestures, music and rhythm. Parents are in the classroom to avoid separation anxiety at this tender age and allow the students to be engaged and supported in their first dance experience.
  • Parents and dancers are encouraged to take what they have learned and continue the joy of movement and body-brain connection at home. It’s a fun way for mom, dad or a caregiver to move and bond with the child as well. Session will culminate with an informal studio showing for the family.
  • What to wear: Clothing that allows for fluid movement and stretching. We dance barefoot, wearing socks will be ok.

Are you interested in volunteering with KDT?
KDT expects parents (and adult students) to volunteer for at least one KDT activity per year. Please let us know which of these volunteer opportunities would interest you, and we will follow up with you based on our needs. We encourage you to select more than one, as some opportunities may not be available.
Volunteer Opportunities

Parent Partners

We plan to launch a ‘Parent Partners’ volunteer group this year, which cultivates a collection of parents who wish to donate their time and talents to support KDT School activities throughout the year. Volunteers may help with costume orders, assisting with outreach performances, organization food and snacks for recital weekend, and more. We’re so thankful for every volunteer!
